staying in the Old Town or on the peninsula

I am staying in Dubrovnik for 2 nights. We are not sure if we want to stay in the old town or by the peninsula where the beaches are. We are all in our 20's and we are looking for young scene who wants to party. But we also want to be in the center of town where all the nightlife is. any suggestions on where to stay - peninsula or Old town

thank you

If you want to be where the action is then I suggest that you stay in the old town. Lapad peninsula is a nice place to stay if you want a little more peace and quiet. By the way...there is a beach right by the old town...or you could always jump on the bus to get to a beach on the peninsula. Have a great time in Croatia!

Just returned....definitely stay in Old Town!! There are plenty of fun bars there and be sure to check out the Latin Club (though, we never made it there). There are also some fun little bars on the cliffs - you just have to do some wandering to find them.

Not sure how many people you are traveling with but you should easily be able to find a private apt in Old Town or just outside.

I just returned this week...so, feel free to ask if you have any other questions...ask here or write janetcrenshaw@hotmail.com
