That is a good amount of time!

Town tips: do the city walls in the afternoon, as the lighting is much better. you will need at least 1.5 hours for the walls.

Must day trips: Lokrum, and take your bathing suit. The island is covered with peacocks, who have over the years developed a taste for cheetos. You can swim in the Dead Sea, or jump off the rocks on the seaward facing area. GREAT hiking trails to the napoleonic fort on the island.

Lopud: lovely sandy beaches, but take the hike to the other side of the island to the secluded beach. Nice places to eat. Some actual cute art shops here as well.

Ston- this is my personal favourite. Amazing, newly renovated city walls that span the peninsula. Longest walls in Europe. Great oysters, clams, and it sits among some of the best vineyards of the country. Go to Matusko and Dingac vineries (these are the first ones I can remember). Peljesac alone is worth a day trip, just to see the wine country.

Korcula: mini Dubrovnik. Birthplace of Marco Polo.

Mljet: national Park, worth at least an overnight stay. doable in a day trip via the ferry system.

Also take the cable car up to Mt. Srdj for some incredible views of the Old Town and surrounding area.

All excellent suggestions and you have enough time to visit many of our historical and cultural sites. Please fit in a short water taxi ride to Cavtat, it is magical.

Hey all

We are looking to stay on the Lopud island in June for a week. It is a family holiday but just wondering how often we can get across to Dubrovnik? Is it only the main big ferry that you can get across on or are there smaller companies/speed boats that will take you across? and What time is the last boat likely to go?

Thanks
