Duty Free

Hi

We are flying into Mandalay, spending one night then we are off on a tour. I was wondering what is the better/cheapest way to purchase some alcohol. Bring it in from BKK duty free or buy it on arrival at the airport or find a supermarket in Mandalay that evening before we leave on our tour?

I am after Bombay Sapphire gin but another brand would be OK if if that's not possible/available ( I know I can get it in BKK). Also is tonic water easy to find?

Advice would be appreciated

Thanks

ႊThere are some supermarkets selling any Alcohol. But, I don't know exactly there has Bombay Sapphire Gin, they have many different types of Gins & others. Tonic water is easy to find for sure!

We have regional products & also import Bottles of foreign Alcohol.

Gordons is widely available and we were offered Bombay Sapphire at Ngapali Beach. Tonic is generally local brands.

What should we expect to pay for Gordons or Bombay gin on arrival at Mandalay airport?

Thanks

Best buy before- preferably somewhere other than BKK,I had already bought some but in the liquor stores at Ngapali Beach they were similar prices to UK discounted (18000kyat for a liter of Gordons/24000k for BS)
