Is it possible to walk between Jumeirah Beach Hotel and Madinat hotel and souks or is it better to take a taxi?
JBH has free buggies to take you there. all the same complex of hotels.
Yes you can easily walk - just a couple of hundred metres along a path which runs at the side of the beach. Aswell as the buggies which are going back and forth all the time, there is also a free shuttle bus between the hotels - not sure how often they run, but my elderly parents used it.
I would say it's around a kilometer, maybe a tad more.
In the current heat it's best done at a strolling pace if you're going to walk.
Hi thanks for info! We are not Hotel guests. Will we still be able to use the buggies?
If your staying at Juremiah Beach then you can use the buggies. However as far as I remember they are for guests only.
They are technically for guests only, I've never been asked to show a room card though - apart from a shuttle going to the Burj Al Arab.
If you turned up at the Jumeirah Beach and wanted to go to a restaurant in one of the other hotels you would also be entitled to the ride - just say you have a reservation.
It's not a very long walk anyway, just watch out for the buggies!
Why not just get a taxi to where you want to go, if you are not staying in JBH. why bother going via JBH where you could be refused a buggy. On an evening they have a security guard on the walkway down from the piano bar and via the cave you need to give your room number. Maybe not for regulars, like Swiss Lee. They appear to recognise people very quickly.
I think Roxy has restaurant reservations at JBH and then wants to go and have a look in the Madinat Souk.
Thanks Swissle that is exactly what we want to do after our dinner at JBH.
Where did it say that Roxy was dining at JBH?
