Family of 5 adults one baby

Hello

We are spending 2 nights in Dubai in April and would like to find central accomodation not too expensive. We would like to visit the Souks and then the usual tourist attractions open to suggestions. Our baby will be 18 months.

Thank you in advance

Kind Regards

I recently stayed at the Golden Sands Hotel Apartments and the rooms are not very expensive and the location is good. Plus the cooking facilities help keep your eating out costs down. Taxi's were easy to get and they know this location.

Enjoy your stay!

How far away from the beach, bars/restaurants, gold souks and the burj please?

Did you have any problems at all? Thank you in advance

Golden sands is in Bur Dubai so very close to the textile souk and only a short abra ride to the gold and spice souks from there.

The nearest strech of public beach is about 10 minutes away and Jumeirah Beach Park - which costs 5 dirham per person and has faciltiies like towel and sun bed hire, toilets and showers - is about 15 minutes away by cab.

There are bars in hotels. In general, you won't find bars outside hotels in Dubai - this makes alcohol expensive - £8 for a pint of beer or glass of wine is the norm. People tend to buy alcohol in duty free on their way in to Dubai (just past immigration and before you get your bags) and then keep it in your apartment - much cheaper to have a drink that way.

There are restaurants all over that area, from cheaper local restaurants to bistros and restaurants in the malls - Bur Juman mall is the nearest one to you and this has some great cafes and a good food court. It is much cheaper to eat out than people think, especially if you eat in the malls or in local restaurants BUT of course they don't serve alcohol unless they are in an hotel.

If you mean Burj Al Arab hotel, it is about 35 minutes by cab.

If you mean Burj Khalifa (the tallest tower) then it's about 15 minutes in good traffic or you can catch the metro from your nearest station (by Bur Juman Mall) to the metro station at Dubai Mall.
