Rose Garden Hotel Apartments barsha

Just wondered if anybody has stayed in these apartments lately.

Going later this year on a bit of a budget.

Are they in a good area.

Thanks in advance.

We have just got back from these apartments. Firstly we were on a tight budjet secondly we know Dubia quite well. We caught up with friends in Abu Dhabi and Bahrain too. On a british pension we knew how to make the money go round. The studio was excellent, very clean, quality furniture, full kitchen,TV and free WF ( had my laptop with me ). The pool on the roof was very clean and also the gym but the pool is far to small if many use it. ( Not forgetting all the lovely staff ) We paid around £47 per night including taxes. Area is quite typical for that price range and what we expected. You do have to travel everywhere so did hire a car.( £120 via internet 7 nights ) If it`s not 100degrees + you can walk to one of the new metro station next to the mall ot the Emerates. The Metro is new and they have done a great job of it and we found the roads not as busy as three years ago now. IF you pay hundreds £ a night you can stay in Jumerea with a beach. But we did all that for a lot less. Public beach is very nice with cafe and gardens but need transport. The new area by Marina is super, called the walk with shops and all types of restautants, coffee shops, ice cream and juice bars. All types of bugets, in fact, we can eat much cheaper in Dubia than Europe and the UK like Frankie and Benny`s but we know where to go. There is another new area called the old town right next to the tallest building in the world ( Burj Kalifa) It is newly built around a man made lake with yet another shopping mall and huge food court, good prices There are some more restaurants over the little bridge to apartments and souq type shopping centre. The lovely complex Madinet next to the water park and Burj Arab 6 star hotel is a must. It is purpose built as an arabian Souq with water ways, shops, resaurants, it`s connected to 3 fab hotels if you are very well off. We had lovey fish and chips in one of the indoor cafes there. We also went to the Atlantas Hotel on the Palms, if you eat there the car is taken from you and brought back when you call, if not £15 to park. We were well treated and shared an afternoon tea in the lounge, well it was £22, we had a lovely afternoon then went to the pictures to watch Robin Hood. No senior concessions or Orange wednesdays but £6 each was fair, lovely seating too. If you go down to the gold and electic Souq by the creek, down town not much in the way of eating down there. All these places and more have to be travelled to and we chose Barsha as it is not to far from Jumeria are by car. Hope it helps but from Barsha you have to travel. All in all we were away nearly 3 weeks Europe hotes and food would have been much more, oh forgot still only £8 to fill car with petrol. Sandra Blackburn.

Hi,

Just want to add about the location of Rose Gardens.

The location is OK, relatively quiet, and not much choice in terms of restaurants but still, there are a few to choose from in the area. It's not the only hotel in the area. Mall of the Emirates is about 10 minutes walk. There is a metro station attached to it. But since you're coming here later in the year, by then the Sharaf DG Metro Station should have been opened. This station is less than 5 minutes walk from the hotel.

Also the good thing about the location is that if you have to take a taxi (e.g. to Madinat Jumeira/ Burj Al Arab, etc.), you won't need much of a detour either to get into or off Sheikh Zayed Road - unlike if you take the taxi from Mall of the Emirates. So you can save a bit if you take taxis, although in total this may only save you just a few quids :-) Most of the time however, I'd imagine you'd be taking the metro.
