Correct dress for dhow cruise?

What would be the correct type of clothing to wear for a dhow dinner cruise for ladies and gents?

Also is it acceptable to wear ladies knee length shorts during the daytime i.e in shopping centres/souks i have a wrap to cover my shoulders but just wondered if knee length shorts were acceptable

One more question is there a metro stop anywhere near the Regent beach hotel on jumeriah road?

Thanks

Knee length shorts are fine when your out and about and i bet you will wonder why you asked about clothing once your there,

we done the dhow diner cruise and there was a right mix of clothing, strappy tops/dresses short dresses pants and tops,

there was a group of young un's from Dubai because we were talking to them and some of the girls had strappy dresses on,
