Welcome!

If you type 'fountains' in the search box directly above your question there will be pages and pages of Q&A's all about where to view/eat/drink to get the best fountain views.

There are many many cafes and restaurants overlooking the fountains that vary greatly in price and the type of cuisine on offer, from coffee stop to a full blown 5 course meal.

If you're staying a few days I'd recommend catching the fountain show more than once.

In the meantime check out Gonçalo's "Just got back" post as she has a video of the fountains which look fabulous.

There are many nice ones and most are good.

What type of food ?

Licensed restaurants are generally more expensive than non licensed because they are connected to an hotel.

If it helps there are two places; Souk al Bahar and Dubai Mall. Souk al Bahar is across the bridge from the mall.

Souk al Bahar

Baker and Spice - cafe, not licensed, good views.

BiCE Mare - Italian, licensed, side view

Margaux - wine bar with food, good views

Mango Tree - Thai, licensed, great views

Rivington Grill- English, licensed, great views

In the Mall

More Cafe - ground floor of the mall, great views, not licensed

Carluccios - ground floor of the mall, great views, not licensed

TGI Fridays - first floor, really great views, not licensed

Joe's cafe - first floor, really great views, not licensed

Dean & Deluca can be found in the Mall and in Souk al Bahar - great views from either
