Family friendly but classy dining Jumeirah Hotels advice pls

Hi tripadvisors :-)

First time visit to Dubai staying at Zabeel Saray for 8 nights , know its not central mainland but reviews and price with a dine around half board offer sealed the deal for us. We enjoy dining out in nice restaurant ideally with terrace/views for evening meal and have a well behaved 6 year old and 2 year old, we plan to have dinner in our hotel and venture out off the Palm also to other restaurants in Jumeirah Hotel Group with maybe one night booking a babysitter and dare I say it dinner at Zabeel as a couple rather than mum and dad.. possibly Voi as I beleive that does not permit children ?? Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated - want the balance of a civilised meal with quality adult menu rather than just kid friendly mayhem type of atmosphere .. my kids know they have to sit at table and be quiet in restaurants but end of day they are kids and would not want to chance it in a michelin star type atmosphere ! Looking forward to seeing your replies x Louise

Here is the link with all of the included restaurants.

jumeirah.com/Hotels-and-Resorts/…

Some are more child friendly than others and some of the higher end ones don't allow kids after 8pm.

When you get to Zabeel Saray the concierge will be able to help with booking and also advise which ones don't allow kids after 8pm.

Some restaurants in the hotels also offer a kids room. Hence you have a nice dinner and your kids have some fun.

Again just ask your concierge.

When our children were younger we would sometimes give them the children's buffet at Jumeirah Beach Hotel then put them in the kids club for a couple of hours while we went to dinner separately. I think it opened until about 9pm. Not sure if JZ has anything similar, or if you can use JBH kids club?

Last time we went to Carnivale in JBH there were quite a few children there - but it's a bit more upmarket than the buffet type restaurants, so may suit you (incidentally, to give you an idea of the type of restaurant, a friend was asked to wear trousers they provided at the door - no shorts for men).

Segreto is a very nice, more grown up restaurant which is usually included in summer flavours deal - or try MJs or Pier Chic at the Madinat (won't be in the deal).

If you are going to the trouble of a babysitter I would make sure you go to somewhere which definitely doesn't allow children - otherwise it's very disappointing to have to listen to other people's misbehaving when you are on a special night out! Although some say no kids after 8 we have seen children there a lot later.
