Metro stops for these places

Hello, I will be visiting Dubai on SAturday, taking the bus from Abu Dhabi. Can you tell me is it possible to get a metro from the bus station to the Burj Khalifa and the name of the stop? We would also like to see, from outside, the Burj al Arab, where should we get out for this? Also we would like to go to Al Karama and the jewellery market by the creek (sorry I am not familiar with the name), are there metro stops convenient to these and what are they?

Thanks.

Do you know which bus station you are going to in Dubai - IBN Battuta or Al Ghubaiba ?

There are metro stations close to both ?

You need to plant your day carefully to make sure you are not going back on yourself so need to think about which day of the week (no point doing a Friday) and which order you will do things.

You can see Burj Al Arab from the metro BUT the nearest station to it is still a 10 minute cab ride away.

I would print off a copy of the metro map from the Dubai metro website. Would be very useful for you to carry around with you.

You can look at this guide and it can be printed - it takes a couple of minutes to load

There's also this pocket map, which may be useful and smaller to carry around

if you are carrying a smart phone, there is a app - me'trO www.kinevia.com which has maps of most of the metro's of the world, you just put in the station name and it would help you with the lines and directions, on anaroid market a more sophesticated one is available if you search which would show you the map of the green and red lines operational in dubai too.

regards to your question -

Metro is available at all the 3 major bus stations in dubai - 1) Union sq.(also known as deira bus stand) metro station name is Union sq.

2) Al Ghubaiba bus st. ( also known as bur dubai bus stand) - metro station name - Al Ghubaiba

3) IBN Battuta bus stand and metro

Al Karama - metro station name is al karama

Jewelry market on bur dubai side - al ghubaiba / there is also a station on the other side of the area known as - Al Fahidi st. metro

burj al arab doesnt have a metro near to it, as said above there is a 10 to 15 min cab drive involved, the nearest st. you can get down is at - first gulf bank or mall of emirates.

hope the above helps
