Need advice - dubai transit visa

My wife and I hold Indian passport and our son has USA passport. We are flying Emirates this saturday from USA to India through Dubai. We arrive Dubai this sunday at 7:50AM and our connecting flight to India (emirates again) departs same day at 9:25PM. So, we have a stopover of over 12 hours. I was under the impression that we could get visa on arrival to go out, hop on a big bus tour, visit burj khalifa, etc but I see some online information that says visa on arrival is not available for Indian citizens. Is that the case? We don't even have time to use the online visa services provided by emirates. Any possibilities of me getting a transit visa? I purposefully chose the 12+ hours stopover and it will be heartbreaking if we are stuck at the airport.

You can try and call Marhaba service if they can organise a transit visa: https:/…citystop.aspx

Given the short timing I would not have too high hopes.

Why did you think about this at the last minute, rather than checking before booking. Marhaba is your best chance. No Middle East country gives on arrival visas to Indian passport holders. Other option is if you have a friend in Dubai maybe he/she can sponsor an urgent transit visa (maybe subject to refundable deposits)

Did you have any luck with the visa?
