Can I get to Wild Wadi on the metro? If not, how far is it from Towers Rotana and what would be the cost by taxi?
Do I need to book ahead for 3 adults and a 2yr old (I have the buy one get one free vouchers) and what day and time of the day is best for the least crowds?
Would not imagine it to be that expensive Huw, round about a tenner. rough guess, maybe slightly more. Plenty of taxis available at all times of the day. Just seen your hotel is half way between Jumeirah, 20mins traffic depending to get to Wild wadi.
You don't need to book ahead and just go on the day with your voucher.
You can get there by metro BUT will have to get off at the nearest metro stop and then get a taxi as the metro doesn't go near to WIld Wadi or you get a taxi all the way.
Avoid Friday and Saturday as, being the weekend in Dubai, they are the busiest days. Sunday through Thursday will be quietest. Get there as soon as you can after opening as it gets busier as the day goes on.
The trip by metro and taxi will take around 40 mins.
The trip by taxi only will take roughly 20 mins - taxis are metered so there's no need to agree a price and they are cheap in comparison to the UK. Rough estimate around 30-35 dirham (£6-7)
Thanks Gerry4400 and Latimer, much appreciated.
Get there just before it opens so you can get in straight away when there are the least number of people. Avoid Friday, Saturday and public holidays.
As from end of June school holidays start. Expect more people in the water parks.
Thanks all, going to Dubai next week and will go early the following Monday...cheers!
.....or would it be quieter if we went after 5pm?
Earlier the better, it gets busier late afternoon/early evening when it gets cooler. When I have been with young relatives we have aimed to be the first ones through the gate,,,guests of Jumeirah hotels used to get early entry, that may have changed.Edited: 15 June 2013, 14:38
Thanks.....will stick to going early morning .
