Gluten free foods

Will I be able to travel with some of my GF items in both my checked bags and carry on bags thru customs? It would be my bread items and maybe a few snacks.

Good GF bread items are hard to find when travelling so I like to bring my own.

Bringing in food items in your checked luggage is perfectly fine.

However, GF food exists in Dubai, try Organic Foods and Cafe, they carry a good selection. There is a branch on Sheikh Zayed Road, near Oasis Center and another on Jumeriah Beach Road in the Village Mall.

There is a good selection of GF items in most supermarkets so no need to take it with you.

Hi there

I don't know if your trip has ended, but I have to congratulate Spinneys Supermarkets for the way they have embraced the need to cater for people such as myself who are celiac or those with other food allergies.Personally I stock up with Nairn GF oat cakes who like myself are located in Edinburgh but you can get them anywhere in Uk and now I am told in Dubai. They have a long expiry date and are not affected by extreme temperature. Sorry if this sounds an advert but they work for me.
