Hi I'm coming from England to Dubai in September what can of adapter do I need.Also I'm meeting a friend at the airport when we meet can we hug or is this not allowed.Any information would be appreciated.

Plugs are the same as the UK.

You'll be fine hugging your friend. Holding hands with the opposite sex in public is also fine as is a peek on the cheek. Anything else should be in private.

The UAE and Oman were British protectorates until 40 years ago; see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trucial_States

So plugs and sockets are UK style, although we do drive on the 'wrong' side of the road.
