Train from Al Ras Metro Station (green line) to Dubai Marina

Hi - we are coming to Dubai in September and want to know how easy is it to catch a train from Al Ras Metro Station in Deira to the Dubai Marina Metro Station? Does one have to change trains and approximately what would be the cost please?

This journey planner will help you:

You have to change at Burjman station. The planner will tell you the fare but if you get a silver nol card there is a maximum spend of 14 dirhams per day so worth getting this if you plan to make multiple journeys per day.

Tried to work it out but it had me going to the library and customs and arriving 2 hours later....I give up! Will have to ask when we get there.

This handy guide may be better.

It's really quite easy as all the signs are in English.

You get on the green line at Al Ras and head for Kalid Bin Waleed metro station where you change to the red line for the Marina..

The total journey time will be roughly 90 minutes. I wouldn't worry about the fare as it's impossible to spend more than 14 dirham.

If you take a taxi then the journey will take around 35 minutes and cost roughly 70 dirham.

The Dubai metro system is extremely cheap & easy to use, & plenty of staff around to ask for help, if you need it

Great thank you.

Was just wondering on another line......we want to catch a taxi from the train station to palm jumeriah for a look around and then back to the Burj Al Arab Hotel for lunch.

Which would be the better station to alight in order to get a taxi please?

To get a taxi to Atlantis better to get off at Dubai Internet City metro stop and take a taxi from there.

There is nothing to see on the Palm Island other than apartment blocks and some hotels. Atlantis is at the far end of the palm and as a non resident you can go in the lobby.

It's a long way and quite a bit of messing around to see an hotel lobby. Better to get off at Dubai Marina station and walk around the marina promenade - at least there is something to see there and a few coffee shops

If male, don't use the first carriage and no food.
