Angkor Pearl. Stayed there last year and was happy with our rooms.

If you look for a nice and cheap guesthouse check out Siem Reap Rooms Guesthouse. It is central (5 min from Pub street and the night market), but off the main road. The Canadian owners are great hosts. I paid $10 per night for an airconditioned twin bed room (stayed on my own there).

thanks everyone! Have sent inquiries to a number of these now and waiting on replies. Love the look of Golden Temple Villas and seems to fit into our price range.

So thanks again for the assistance.

Golden Temple Villa is very friendly, has tea and coffee and banana's on the go all day and night and their restaurant is terrific.

We stayed at Kazna and would highly recommend the place. Very traditional style of architecture. Rooftop dining experience. Friendly staff.

Hoping someone will help me make up my mind!

We have decided to go with decor, atmosphere and glowing reviews (not to mention service) and have narrowed it down to Golden Temple Villa and Angkor Pearl Hotel (comes in slightly cheaper).

Now to decide which one to pick!

Is anyone able to help with the pros and cons of each please? Location (eg: how far to closest temple sites, walking distance from) , breakfast, size of room etc.

The only pro so far for me for Angkor Pearl Hotel is the Apsara Suite that I would definitely book for hubby and me.

Never had two such close front runners before... so am totally undecided.

THANKS!!

If you are after the best location, GTV is about a 5 minute walk to pub street, but then nothing is too far away in a Tuk Tuk. The temples are about 6 k's out of town and you go in your tuk tuk or whatever transportation you have planned.

Sizes of rooms at GTV are not spacious, but enough, l have only stayed in a twin room, we were right at the front of the place though so almost had the balcony to ourselves.

Just had a look on the net at the APH and it looks pretty amazing!!!
