You don't need a full day at those sites. Are there other inclusions on your tour?

Leaving only 1/2 day .... go really early to Ta Prohm and Preah Khan, soak up the atmosphere before bus loads arrive. Don't try and see lots of temples on such a squeezed timeframe, just pick a couple, be there at 7am-7.30 and explore.

There're too many good things in Siem Reap for just half a day. One option is to go to a spa. However, these are usually open late in the morning. Exploring the ruins does take at least one full day. There're too many temples and the area is vast.
