ATM Fees for withdrawing cash... in Siem Reap

Hello all,

I am going to visit Siem Reap and Phnom Penh, from Australia.

I am thinking of loading my credit card with a positive balance and then withdrawing cash from ATMs in Siem Reap and Phnom Penh, on a need-to basis (instead of carrying around A$ or US$ cash).***

Does anyone know which banks' ATM machine (in Siem Reap or Phnom Penh) don't charge a transaction fee for cash withdrawal using a credit card?

In addition, does anyone know the specific fees charged by the different bank's ATM machine? (i.e. so we could avoid those ATM machines)

Thanks very much in advance!

*** For clarity, I do know that some credit cards provide really bad exchange rate AND/OR impose a foreign exchange etc. fees for cash withdrawals in a foreign currency. My credit card does not (i.e. excellent exchange rate and no fee for cash withdrawals), thus it makes sense for me to use this method to exchange/obtain Cambodian Riel.

I also found this!

Cambodia runs on US Dollars, thus the ATM machines dispense USD (although there are some where you can choose to have Khmer riels, but they are almost useless for tourists).

Here you find a complete list of ATM machines in Cambodia, ordered by bank and province. All banks charge a fee for international ATM withdrawals, varying from two to five US Dollars per transaction.

ANZ charges the highest fees, Canadia Bank the lowest.

Tips: When accepting US dollars, inspect the bills carefully. Marred riel is acceptable tender, but the tiniest tear in a large US note renders it worthless in Cambodia.
