Time of Tour

Hi. What is an ideal time to start a tour? Was thinking of starting it at 9am, except of course if we are to catch the sunrise...then obviously, that will be much much much earlier.

The earlier the better as it could be very humid (just like your used to in your own country) late morning 'til late afternoon. 7:00am is a good time to start just before those tour buses start to arrive.

the earlier you start the better - the big tour groups begin arriving any time from 8.30 - so try to beat them or you will be stuck waiting for phopto opportunities for ages - many of those on tour grups have no concept of 'waiting your turn' for a photo and will simply push in so they can get their snap before racing off to the next temple

there have been a number of threads discussing how to 'beat the crowds' (although in reality this is often not really possible at all) - just use the search box to locate them

I'm an early riser, so am usually out of the guesthouse by 6:30 or 7:00. If you have a leisurely breakfast and depart at 8:30 or 9:00, you will be there at the same time as all of the other tour groups...
