Going Solo: Most Affordable Tour Option?

Could I please get advice on touring Angkor Wat and outlying temples? I had this portion of my trip planned out but it turns out I will now be soloing it and the price of the private guide we had is too much for me to pay on my own. Tips?

Woops, meant the 22nd, not the 26th. I should also add that I don't have a fixed date. May be a few days after the 22nd for all I know.

James, you can easily arrange a tuk tuk to take you around to the sites on your own. You can do this either through your hotel or guest house or simply by talking to a tuk tuk driver in the street. The cost wouldn't be any more than at the very most $18 - $20 for a full day. You really don't need a guide. The price for the entry into the area won't alter per person whether you're with a group or alone.

If you want to send me a PM I can give you the contact details for a very knowledgeable driver with good English who would charge you around $16 - $18 for the day

I wouldn't have a guide for more than 1 day, if at all. Buy a book rather,

To further cut costs, hire a bicycle for $1-$2 a cycle there yourself.

Too darn hot to ride a bicycle around all day, give a tuk-tuk driver a job- $13 for the small circuit, $15~$18 for the grand circuit .
