Lauca in Mid Jan ?

We are thinking about going to Lauca in Mid Jan .

We know its rainy season there . But is it ok to try venturing up there around the rainy season ? I can;t seem to find much information about travel in and around Arica and lauca around this time .

Should we skip the place or take a chance and go there . any recommendations ?

Thanks!

I would suggest dipping a search Lauca Chile. This brings up dozens of sites.

Toid, thanks. But none of them really talk about Lauca in Jan - the rainy season. We are wondering if it is worth going there in Jan , or we skip Lauca and goto someother place

Mid- January is well into the 'invierno altiplanico'. Have a look at a 10 day weather forecast and see if you think it is worth it. It isn't the best time to visit, obviously but a lot depends on the individual year.
