Do I need a return reservation before entering Colombia?

Yes, most likely airline wont let you on without one if traveling on a tourist visa.

My advice - buy a oneway fully refundable return ticket on Jetblue, once you get to Colombia cancel it.

Mmmm I'd say that you need to prove that you will exit the Colombian territory within 90 days. So if you have a plane ticket for another country, it does the trick too.

Yes, the airlines don't care who you are flying out on or to where, you just need to provide a reservation number on a flight out of Colombia. Never been asked to show a return ticket in Colombia, immigration does jot seem to care as long as you get out before your visa expires.

No, you do not need proof of a flight out of Colombia, Many people travel overland after Colombia on extended South American trips, crossing the border to Ecuador and Venezuela. They are not denied entry to Colombia or seats on the plane.

Sorry chewie but you are wrong, in the States at the counter, if you are traveling on a tourist visa , they will ask to see a return ticket, most wont accept a bus tiket, it needs to be a flight, occasionly they will forget to ask but 90% of the time they will ask about it. I have glown at least 20 times to Colombia from Florida on a tourist visa, only twice did they not ask, once had to buy a ticket at the counter to get the boarding pass.

I have flown on a business visa also, they have asked to see return ticket then , but not a requirement with that type if visa, again if you are flying from the States to Colombia on a tourist visa you will need to show a airline ticket for leaving Colombia. Its not 100% enforced but dont roll the dice and take the chance.

Also on a number of airlines websites, including JetBlue, it will state when trying to purchase a one way ticket to Colombia, you must show proof of a return ticket or you may not be able to board the plane.
