I got the invitation post card. No free slot play was promised. The free play option was mentioned in the sevenstarsinsider newsletter. Darryl McEwen, the author of this newslettle always gets insider's info. I expect there will be a free play option. Since this drone is only selling about $160 in Amazon, don't expect anything more than $200 free play.

I have the post card too.

The offer was online for me before the post card came.

When I called to reserve they didn’t know what the gift was, but said you can choose the gift or free play. They didn’t know the amount of free play either. :)

I’m checking in Wednesday so I’ll ask around then. :)

Just picked up the gift today and asked.

The lady asked a supervisor and said free play isn’t an option.

I told her that they said it was when I called. She said they always say that. I also said they’re going to have a handful of unhappy people because it was posted on sevenstarsinsider too.

Happy holidays! Lol!

Sorry to hear that. At least Bally's has a TJ Maxx gift card giveaway this Saturday so it is not a total loss for this weekend.

daryl posted the copy of the email on seven stars insider.

they gave us a $40 drone as opposed to the listed $130 drone. and the emails says we had the option of free play but neither property would honor it.

it was a pretty crappy bait and switch in my opinion.

my play is at harrahs, but i left right after the party because of the storm that was coming in.

im not one to usually complain, but this was just done wrong.

yup, I just got home from Atlantic City. Caesar's was not being honest. We got a much lower grade drone and food in the party was bad. i will write a comment in the total reward website to complain about this. I suggest anyone else went to this invitation should complain to the company!

i didn't go to the party, and i agree it sounds like a bit and switch type of thing and a poorly planned event. i no longer have the invitation, but typically these things contain a disclaimer that says CZR can change or cancel the promotion at any time without notice and the items depicted are for illustration purposes only and subject to change, blah blah blah. you should absolutely complain, but - legally - they're covered.

it is also possible that they tried their best, but that that particular drone was no longer available from their supplier in the quantity needed.

drones make a pretty lousy casino giveaway, in my opinion. they carry with them a host of legal and registration requirements that most people are oblivious to.

Look at the post on seven star insider, there is an image of the invite where it says..

“Each invited guest will receive a choice of a welcome gift or free play.

Guaranteed gift - (original type of drone).”

Even if someone is allowed by law to substitute a gift, it has to be of similar monetary value. A simple solution would have been to just give free play in the amount of the “guaranteed gift.”

I sent an email to the contact us link on total rewards Monday evening. I’ll let you know the reply.

i'm on your side, littlelauraann, but please understand that if they "can change or cancel the promotion at any time without notice," then the "make good" gift does not have to be of similar value. the slot play they routinely offer in place of a giveaway item often bears no resemblance to the retail value of the item. (it may more closely resemble their discounted price per item for the bulk purchase of the gift,)

in any case, they can do whatever they want. it's bad business to substitute a $40 gift for a $130 one, in the sense that they'll anger a lot of loyal high value players... but they can do it. and apparently they have done it.

on the plus side, i will say that i attended several shopping events recently at harrah's and bally's and the "prices" of many items were actually far lower than retail and therefore my shopping dollars went much farther than i thought they would. the bally's liquor event was particularly surprising and rewarding in that regard.
