Harrahs sometimes charges $5 for self parking for noncard members and gold members, and sometimes charges nothing (depends on what promos they have going on). I actually have never been successful at finding their valet parking. (But I only tried twice.) Self park is easy to find and convenient.

Harrah's Valet parking is very easy to find. Just do not make a left into the parking garage but rather continue to the end of the building on your right and make a right turn to the hotel entrance. At many times (weekends, holidays, etc) they will only valet park Platinum, Diamond and Seven Stars members.

We self park only because we find it more convenient and faster. Self parking is free with you TR card. Also, I always ask for (and receive) a transfer if we are going to another casino.

I agree with not letting a valet park your car . Most valets drive the cars way too fast and hard . And if they have an accident it will be charged to your insurance . You might also have trouble getting your deductible back from the establishment . I've even heard of insurance problems caused by the valet not having a valid Driver's Licence .

Ponyboy:

I agree w/ the last post about leaving your car w/ the valet, plus if you leave/arrive at the same times as everyone else, the queue is long for the valet. The self-park is fine and ample parking, but you have to push your luggage through the casino to the registration desk.

I have to say I've always had good experiences with the valet in both Vegas and AC. Numerous times they have held the car up front for me if I told them when I dropped it off that I was just going to checkin and freshen up and would be back within 2 hours.

Of course, a tip always helps!

If I stay overnight at Harrahs I will usually valet there because the hotel check-in is located at the opposite side of the casino from where you enter the building from the self-park garage. The valet entrance is right by the hotel check-in which if you have luggage makes it easier than pulling your bags through the casino property.

I've never had a probelm with valet at Harrahs and they are pretty quick in returning your car when you go to pick it up. The last time I was there valet for gold card or non-members was $10.00.
