Nicer rooms at Showboat?

I'll be heading to Atlantic City again in about a month. I typically go every 1-2 months, play at a bunch of different places for a night or two, and come home. This time I'm going with two other people, one of whom has never been.

We're booked into a Bourbon Tower Premium room over at Showboat. I've always stayed in either this type room, or over at Harrahs. The last time I went, I was comped at Resorts, and had a Jacuzzi suite... so now I'm curious as to whether or not Showboat has rooms such as these. It would be great to have a room a little larger than the regular Deluxe or Premium rooms, since there will be three of us... and one person snores quite loudly!

I never hear of people getting suites or mini-suites in Atlantic City. Any advice, or do they just not exist unless you're a really high roller?

Harrah's has some nice suites in the Bayview Tower on the upper floors - you need to use your room key in the elevator to get to those floors. Marble entrance with powder room, living room with fabulous views, bedroom and bathroom suite. Got this as a comp in the middle of the week off season. Only a diamond card - barely.

Suite upgrades on the weekends are not going to happen. Even as a 7 Stars member I can't get a suite on a weekend - they are held (and apparently used) for high rollers. Middle of the week in January, I'm golden! I know you can reserve and pay for a HOB suite which would accommodate all of you nicely but again, it's not a cheap date. The HOB suites are pretty much on the market rather than reserved for high rollers. You can go to the HET website and see what the price is.

Yep, I saw those but didn't know if they were a completely separate thing (as in, I'd have no way to upgrade to them, they have a separate check-in, etc). I do see that they have a new suite listed on their site, but not much information on it.

We're getting the room for casino rate and it's a Sunday and Monday night, check-out on Tuesday. I'm a lowly Gold-about-to-become-Platinum, and the other two don't have TR cards at all (one has only been once to AC but stayed at Resorts, and the other has never been). I typically tip the person at the front desk to get a nicer room, and usually end up with the Bourbon Tower Premium room. Now that I'm starting with this room, I'm curious if they can upgrade it further if I get the right person at check-in!
