They're okay. One of the older properties, but they are connected to the Claridge which is connected to Ballys which is connected to Caesars, etc. I stayed there once in the Madison House, a hotel they took over a while back. It was okay. I do remember winning a little in their casino ($40 or something). I do plan on going over and playing for a bit on my next trip.

There are probably two reasons you don't hear much about them (I assume you mean on this board). One is that people tend to have their favorite casinos that they go to, get offers from, and talk about. I am always yammering on about Bally's and Bigfus likes Harrah's and Showboat. There just doesn't happen to be a Sands fan hanging around.

Also (at least for the dates that I'm going) Sands doesn't seem to be having many offers/drawings/sweepstakes, etc. I got one free room offer from them back in Feb. I didn't use it and never got another. Their new player promotion is free parking and $10 in slot play, whereas other places are doing $20k sweepstakes, running around giving away boats every hour on father's day, etc etc. To me they just don't seem to be doing anything exciting enough to post about it.

I heard the service was bad lately and the rooms dusty . Also a couple people got robbed and shot in the parking garage .

Wow, that's a bummer! We were hoping to stay there next time the Rat Pack swings through town.

We have reservations for Aug. 15-19th. 4 exciting nights. We heard the slots are really hot there lately. When I asked them what type of room we will get, they told me we have run of the house.

Can't wait!

I'm also booked in for the week of the airshow, there will be great views from the top of the Sands as long as you bring a pair of Bolt Cutters LOL.

Hey Term, are you really going for the airshow? So are we. Maybe we'll see you there. Right now we are going to play it by ear where we are going to watch it from. I have a serious photography hobby and radio hobby so I will be watching somewhere where I can enjoy my hobbies while watching the airshow (taking photos and monitoring the communications of the aircraft). We are staying at Caesars for the remaining of that week so maybe we can hook up for a brewsky.
