ac vs airy

You all seem to very helpful plus you know your casinos. So I have a couple of questions. How is Mt Airy in comparison to AC? Which AC casino is closiest in size to Mt Airy? I have been to AC alot and I always get the room for free and all but we are thinking about a change so we may go to Mt Airy for a night (only one because we have to for it) and see something different, never been in that area. Is it worth it? We would be giving up our AC for trip. Could someone tell me about Mt. Airy? Lastly, would you pay the price to stay at Mt Airy or area hotels? Is it worth it? Sorry for all the questions....I hope you all can help!

We went to Mt Airy for the day a couple of weeks ago for the first time (only because it's close). It, by no stretch of the imagination is AC. They have all the newer penny and nickle machines, the 25 cent machines are ok (not the normal double diamond, etc), they were all machines I never saw before. The dollar machines are obviously ones that other casinos don't want, all old. (you do know the casinos lease all the machines). Non-alcoholic beverages are free, alcohol you must pay. I would never go again!, much less pay for a room.

We signed up too, FYI they upgrade to their premium card, we had our Borgata black label and Harrah's diamond card, they said they would only give us the mid-level card for the Borgata, but their premium card for the Diamond. Go Figure??

Wonder what they'd do for a 7 Stars? Maybe a box of wine!

They upgrade you for three months and the VIP lounge just opened a few days before New Year's It is very nice but it was empty both times we went in, I don't think many people know about it. You can get free drinks in there and come and go as you please and take the drinks out onto the floor. Their hours were something like 4 PM until midnight. Only a few snacky foods were there, nothing much for food. We only went up and played a little the first week of opening..it reminds me of a mini Borgata with the layout. My husband upgraded then, so it kind of went to waste for two months, but oh well. They finally sent a nice offer in the mail for the weekend before New Year's Eve- $50 free play, $50 food comp, and 2 free show tickets. The show- an Elvis impersonator-was great! Buffet was great! One thing they don't have is GOLDFISH machines, one of our favorite slots. To answer your question about a comparison between Mt Airy and AC, no comparison..we live about 20 minutes from Mt Airy, and guess where we are going on Sunday :-) AC!! Can't wait and we were just in Las Vegas less than a month ago. Any more specific questions about Mt Airy email me at mmchugh@hotmail.com. Patty.

So what do you actually get for the upgrade, I have a diamond, black label and chairman. After reading these, I am not sure what to do. I was excited to see it but it doesn't sound like it would be worth the drive. Anymore opinions would be great!
