LFB - RFB please explain

What exactly is the difference between the two? Which is better? They tell me when I check in that I am RFB.

RFB is better. RFB = rooms food and beverage. They will pick up your meals, drinks and rooms. You can eat in their gourmet restaurants and they will pick up the charges.

If you are LFB (or limited RFB) you can eat at the buffet and the "casual dining" restaurants and they will pick up the charges. They will also pick up drinks at the bar.

For either one they will take the charges for the food and drinks out of your comps first. Once they've exhausted your comps then they will start to pick them up "on the house".

Since it would be dumb to start a new post...if i were to get this down the road (i probably wont)...could i ask not to have this? I like to save the comps then get something big, or take people to the diamond lounge...

I don't know if they would unLFB you. But just don't charge your meals back to your room and they won't touch your comps.

When I've checked into Showboat, they never told I was RFB or LFB. Do you have to ask them?

They should tell you. But of course you can always ask.

So, you're saying that if I go to the bar, do I give my players card or the card they give you at check in. Do I charge it to my room? If I have a comp balance will it come out of that first. I understand about the restraunts but never knew about the bar thing. We always just pay at the bar. Dummies, huh? Thanks to all on this forum I've been going to AC for about 15 years and have learned more in the last few months reading your posts.

Yes, you can charge drinks at the bar back to your room. IF you are RFB or LFB the casino will pick up the charges for the bar drinks AFTER they have exhausted your existing comps. You need to have that little piece of paper they give you when you check in.

BTW - keep track of those little pieces of paper. In my last two trips I was only once asked for ID to verify that was actually my piece of paper. It would not be hard for someone who found one of those on the ground to start charging things to your room.

Thanks Alot. I can see now, one of us should empty out our comp balance at the gift shop.

If your check-in paper says "Gold Comp" on it, you can use it to charge drinks to it and they won't even be charged to the room. They will ask for ID with this type of paper.
