I have a couple depending on my mood.

1. An ice cold beer. Dripping with pieces of ice falling off the bottle. Usually not a heavy beer. The heaviest would be a Newcastle Ale. mmmmmmmm.

2. A tall ice filled Vodka and (club) Soda with any kind of fruit they want to toss in it. I prefer Kettel One, Belvedere, Grey Goose and stoli. Sometimes I like a flavored Stoli - Raz or O.

That's a lot of detail for 8am. Back to my coffee and off to work. Ahhhhhh! lol

It's not exclusively a summer drink, but very refreshing all year round: 007! It's Orange vodka, OJ, and Seven up (hence the name). They are best served in a pint glass with lots of ice. Some casinos serve them on the floor, but in small glasses (Hilton, Showboat, and Trump that I know of). Any bar will make one for you -- make sure they are using orange vodka and not their own variation of the drink. I know I've turned a few other posters into 007-lovers.

Bottoms Up!

for a daytime drink that wont get you 'seeking a bed' by 5pm, try Campari & seltzer or Campari & grapefruit. Campari is only 41 proof, it has a really refreshing taste which will quench your thirst on the beach or poolside. Also, it wont leave you weaving erratically when you stand up to walk back to your room.

Just a note, ensure your server hears you correctly, - as I have received NUMEROUS Bacardi & seltzers

Campari's site is annoying, try wiki http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Campari

Yes the 007...thanks Luvbreezes.

At Trump Marina we order by the Wave Bar when on the casino floor and they use Stolio Vodka. As at the Borgata. Harrah's used Smirnoff so it makes a difference in each casino.

Can't wait for a cold one next AC visit.

One of my favorites has to be a malted mudslide, which is (understandably) hard to find. I've yet to find a place in AC that serves them.

The recipe from Barmeister.com:

1 oz Vodka

1 oz Bailey's Irish Cream

1 oz Kahlua

1 scoop(s) Vanilla Ice Cream

5 piece(s) Whoppers Candy

Fill glass(es) Milk or Heavy Cream

Mix the 3 liquors, milk, and ice cream. Add chopped/crushed Whoppers. Mix well. Garnish with whipped cream and crushed Whoppers. Can use blender to mix.

Major yum, but I love the dessert drinks so pretty much anything on the chocolate menu at Blue Martini works for me - they do a great mudslide there, but no malted. :(

Great topic BarbaraNY!
