jitneys

I read so much about the jitneys you can catch a ride with.

Could someone tell me how far up and down the boardwalk you can catch them and what exactly they look like, how much?

Thanks

You can catch them the whole length of the Boardwalk.

They stop at every Casino and almost every other block or so.

Cost is $2.00 a person everywhere.

The color is light blue or bluish Green.

Hang on ,some are quite the Ride!!!

there is a photo here http://www.jitneys.net/

as well as the routes

Try to make pretend it's a thrill ride in an amusement park and count how many times you get 'air-time' as most have bad suspensions.

Best thrill ride in town. Hold on tight. But they do get you where you have to go.

Just to clarify - the Jitneys do run the length of the boardwalk, but they do not actually stop at the boardwalk. You have to walk up one block inland from the ocean (Pacific Ave). If you go out the western exit of any casino, you will find a jitney stand nearby. Or, ask one of the valet parkers, they will direct you to the closest stop. They come quite often and you will know them immediately when you see one. If you have any doubts, just tell the driver where you want to get off before you board, and he will confirm you're on the right one. They cost 2 bucks p/p, and exact change is appreciated. I do not recommend a jitney ride if you are even slighly hungover, or have back, neck, or headache problems!

Have fun,

Breezes you are definitely right about having back and neck problems. One time I did go down with a sore back and the ride did not help.
