Spent Tuesday and Wednesday in AC and it was the slowest I have ever seen in the casinos.
The AC expressway was a breeze and a quick trip to the Taj. DH played in the poker tournament with only 4 tables for the afternoon session.
My sister and I went off to play slots. One of my favorite machines had been taken off the floor so tried a good variety...not much new.
We decided to walk over to Resorts and it was quiet...the employees out numbered the players on the floor. Never saw the drink girl, played for awhile and left. Did notice no one seemed to be playing with their cards...I didn't have one and didn't care to sign up and receive more casino mail.
Back at Taj I sat down at a Spanish 21 table but not much luck but did get fast drink service. Called my sister over from slots and bought her a drink.
It was snowing so checked outside and it was so quiet on the boardwalk...a peaceful but eerie sight.
Left DH playing poker as he was down to 2 tables and we wanted to check in at the Marina. Also the machines weren't friendly and a bonus would have been nice to play.
After a quick stop at the valet parking we were up and waiting to check in. The hotel was about empty according to the clerk so the rooms were ready on the 23rd floor.
We could watch the Borgata and Harrah's side of AC from the window. Traffic on the roads was light. DH showed up near 4 on the Trump shuttle after stopping at the Plaza to pick up another person.
The Marina casino was quiet also so tables were $5 and drink service was quick. Finally near 7 the pitboss started to send home dealers who volunteered. With the snow and little business there was no problem getting any to go home early that night.
Had a nice room and nice time at the table with another couple from RI. But not a winning trip just a small loss. Moved my tier points to over the 4000 mark to keep a midlevel card.
All and all I was glad it was just a one night stay in AC and we were ready in the monring to head home....maybe the charm for us has worn off?
