We arrived at Ballys by noon for the 1 pm poker game. First I wanted to stop by Total Rewards to get a new card. Tried the large Total Rewards on the walkway between Ballys and WWW but 1 casino employee was working the desk and over 24 people in line.

Next a run through WWW which was busy for a Monday, tables were open and the slots were busy. We wanted to grab a quick bite before the game and I had expiring points at Trump. My 1 my sister and I were playing the slots at Trump and waiting 20-30 minutes for a drink after ordering on the casino floor. Lots of players and not many working the floor. Finally had 2 mix drinks and hit for $100 on a Survivor game. But that was about it for bonuses.

Walked to Caesars and got back in a Total Rewards line. Waited for my turn but Diamond and up players kept getting in line so my wait was long. After handing over my ID 2 new cards were made. Off to play slots….cards didn’t work. So back in line and waiting….another set of cards. Still red light when placed in the machine. 3rd time in line and the man is about rude telling me I don’t know how to insert the card. He walks out to the floor and checks the first slot he gets to…the card is not working. Back to the desk he cuts another set and checks them and finally after 3 long waits and 45 minutes later I have a working slot card. I am not happy with the service at the desk but can’t let it get to me.

My sister has been playing nearby and we finally walk to check out the slots. Haven’t played in Caesars for awhile and the nonsmoking floor is nice. Drink service was good.

Played blackjack for an hour and stayed even.

Walked back to Ballys to check on poker game. DH is doing good and the game is down to 2 tables. Abit jammed with 11 players to a table but he has 40K in chips.

We decide to check out Ballys. Big mistake….dirty machines, smoky and many people just sitting at machines either asleep, drinking or waiting. Not to appealing to make me want to play.

Took a short walk on the boards and DH calls to say he is out of the game. So back to valet and pick up the car to head to Trump Marina. Usually this is where I play so looking forward to a good table and a few drinks.

This was our 3rd trip of the year to Trump and our last for awhile…just canceled my trip on the 8th. The casino is dropping services and leaving angry players. To get a bottle beer or a bottle of water you now have to be a signature player…like there are many playing at the Marina. Otherwise you choice is Bud Light in a cup if you want a beer... This was the joke at the table most of the night. The drink server had to ask what card you had when you ordered a beer. Many players were not happy and when asked the servers said tips were off……Trump is going to hurt itself with there new policies. This is same as HET stating only 7 Star players can have a good beer!

Also the casino floor was so smoky by 10 my eyes were burning. It felt like playing in a large ashtray! Woke up the next day and felt like I had smoked a few packs. Checked out early and hit the road for home.

The slots were ok and hit a few bonuses. But I think I finally came to a conclusion that a break from AC is needed. It is not the fun get away I use to look forward to from work. Then today in the email I get this glowing letter from Trump Hotels telling me their services are getting better? Don't worry about the bad news of bankrupcy?

Maybe I will change my mind in a few months but for now we are happy to play locally.

I have made 3 trips this year...just realizing it is time for a change.

Haven't lost money but AC just hit burn out. I have my executive credits good til May 2010.

We still will enjoy the local casinos for day trips.

Also a good cruise in the fall.

sorry to hear about your trip blackjack. from previous comments i knew you were a fan of the marina.

I had avoided telling my wife about the no bottled water deal, but the only time ive ever seen her drink beer is when she is at the marina and orders her favoret corona? cant picture her sipping a draft beer. I know ceasars is supposed to only serve bottled beer to diamond, but ive only been asked to show my card once, hope you contunue to share your knowlege of ac here on trip adviser even if you are taking a break.

We were just in AC last weekend also. Stayed at Caesars and wasn't impressed with the lack of service this time.

The cut backs can be noticed. Funny you mentioned the casino carding you to see what level you are for a beer. Same thing happened with my husband at Caesars on the lower floor. He could only get a premium beer (in their eyes) if he was diamond or above. Were platinum and we were staying in their hotel. Now, on the second floor at Caesars they never asked our card status and he could get any beer he wanted.

Last time we were in AC was last sept. This time i noticed that more street people were inside the casinos . They were coming up to the people at the machines asking for money.

My husband smokes and there were people coming in going through the ashtrays.

I also kept having card problems. I must have had new cards made a least 10 X's. Total Rewards would make the new cards for me and they would be O.K., then I would go eat or up to the room only to find that they no longer worked when I got back on a machine. I was also having problems with the room key and had to have one made several times. This was in addition to the bathroom lights turning themselves on and off.

Hubby asked me if I had gotten a new bag. I was thrilled that he was so observant and interested in me to know that I had changed bags. When he looked at my bag, he started to laugh. It seems that the catch on this bag is a huge magnet and it was demagnitzing everything. Of course this doesn't explain why the lights kept going on and off. I would like to think that it was due to my magnetic personality.
