My dress was stolen from Trump Marina/Mini TR

I usually only stay at HET and Borg, but my bf somehow got a comp suite at Trump Marina so I agreed to stay there this weekend. Upon entering the suite, I couldn't stop laughing as the whole room was so outdated looking and tacky. I really should've taken a few pics, the carpet was a pistachio green color, and there was a jacuzzi tub built for two close to the bed. You would think that it was kind of romantic or sexy, but really it looked like an old badly done honeymoon suite LOL.

As for gaming, we donated mostly to HET and Borg as thats where I always play. I got a little luckier at the slots at Borg, but no big hits. We actually spent some time at the Pier and I finally began to appreciate how nice the stores there are. Granted they are mostly pricey NYC type shops, but if I were to hit big I'd definetely be shopping there!

Fast forward to checking out on Sunday, we leave the suite with bags packed at noon. We get our car from the valet and proceed to make our way home. I panic and tell my bf to pull over when I realize I left the dress I had been wearing to dinner saturday night on the hook behind the bathroom door. He asks me if I am sure, and so I proceed to go to the trunk and look through my luggage. No dress to be found as I am sure I recall not taking the dress off the hook. I get on the phone and call the Marina asking for housekeeping. After speaking to a few employees, including a supervisor who said she actually walked through the suite, no dress was to be found. This actually happened to be one of my better dresses, relatively new, and more expensive than most of what I own, so I was very dissapointed. I just called over there again this morning, and nothing. My bf says that a maid definetely must have stolen it. I love AC, but wont return to Trump Marina again.

You said you called housekeeping, but did you call lost and found? I know at HET, when something is left in the room it is brought to lost and found and most housekeeping staff have no idea about where it could be.

Try calling lost and found. After a few days, all item at HET are donated to local charities, so don't wait too long.

Terrible ending to a non winning trip :o(

Better luck next time

I would file a report with Risk Management. My cell phone was "stolen". I left it in the room charging, upon my return my cell phone along with the charger was no where to be found. I was told that Trump Casino's are not responsible for ANYTHING left in the room.

You pobably will not get the dress back and definately no compensation, but at least there will be a record of the loss. I hope if housekeeping sees a pattern on a specific shift or with certain rooms, they might address the situation. I hope there is never a next time but make sure you get names of the people you speak to and add that to the report.

I am sorry you lost twice bad enough you donated to the casinos.

Thanks for posting the report. Great description of your room! I imagine the Marina won't be doing to many updates until the sale to the Margaritaville themed group is either finalized or dropped. Sorry to hear about your dress. I had a similiar expierence with but with a happier ending at a Marriott in Hollywood Fl. I had arrived at the airport to fly home when I realized I left my digital camera in the room safe. I was lucky, the hotel retrieved it and shipped it back to me. I hope you have similiar good luck with your dress.

I left my cell phone in the room at Caesars awhile back. Hit me on the AC expressway. I called the 800 # for Caesars told them what happened and they said they would check on it. Well by the time I got home (2-3 hrs) there was a message on my home phone, they found my phone and would mail it to me., arrived next day. See.....some time good things to happen, LOL

You really should call lost and found. Last month I left a face cream in the bathroom shower. The jar was over $50, but I didn't realize it till I got home that afternoon. As much as I would have loved not to have to buy a new one, I didn't trust using that one anymore. Point is, even though Harrahs has your information, they do not contact you. Disney did and wanted to ship me something I left in my room in January, but I advised them to throw it out because it was a happy meal toy. I really don't think the housekeeper "stole" it. I just think Harrahs doesn't care.

I believe the OP said she left it at Trump Marina - not Harrahs.

Oops. Sorry. Trump Marina didn't care about her dress and Harrahs didn't care about my face cream, but Disney did contact me and wanted to ship my happy meal toy.

Try Lost and Found at the Marina.

DH left our portable DVD player in the safe last winter and we called and it was located through Lost and Found. The player was shipped to us and arrived perfectly in a few days.

Sounds like you stayed at the 6th floor reserve suites....they are not the best. I like the high floor suites at the end of the hall on each floor.

Good Luck!
