Caesars Breakfast

I was at Caesars Saturday & was told that la Piazza will now be serving breakfast on Saturday & sunday only. As of last monday they are only opening for lunch & dinner during the week. I passed by Cafe Roma and they don't open until 11:30 during the week now.(I don't know when this changed).

Also,I was at Primavera and was told that Bacchanal restaurant was closed as of last week.

Has anyone heard of other Harrah's properties closing restaurants or cutting back hours recently?

I don't know of any other place to get breakfast in Caesars & was hoping that someone could tell me if Bally's still has a breakfast restaurant or buffet or if there is any place within walking distance. Thanks.

We were there in July (summer, mind you) Had to go to VA City Buffet had breakfast. The last three trips to AC had trouble finding breakfast! Someone on this board suggested Sonsie on the Pier. Well they open about 11, (that's lunch not breakfast for me) I've already decided next trip (Oct) on doing room service. I can't see getting up and roaming from casino to casino trying to find some breakfast!

This time of year many of the casinos start cutting back on restaurant hours.

Sorry to hear about Bacchanal closing. I know a lot of people on here liked it. I wasn't really a fan, but I don't like people trying to "entertain" me while I am eating. (That's what my dining companion is there for.)

Ballys has a few options for Breakfast. Just down the steps escalators from Caesars is Gold Tooth Gertie's for donuts and bagels and stuff like that. They have a small and kind of ugly looking seating area (but I'd prefer to take it back to the room).

6ix serves breakfast and I believe they are still open 24 hours. It's on the 6th floor of Ballys and is a sit down restaurant.

Between Ballys Dennis tower and the Claridge tower is the Bagel and Donut connection. Pretty much the same fare as Gertie's, but they also have chicken salad, tuna salad, etc type stuff.

I think Johnny Rocket's (boardwalk side of Ballys) might serve breakfast, but I'm not sure about this.

Ballys used to have the Sidewalk Cafe that was open for breakfast, but I'm pretty sure that is closed. If it is not, skip it anyway. It was an awful little buffet.

wow! I expected them to cut back after labor day, but to give up on breakfast might mean they don't expect to come close to filling their rooms. I'm sorry to hear that as I usually visit mid week. Thanks for the info. When I was there in July the buffet opened late(can't remember what time) but cafe roma was open 24 hrs.

There is gerties gold tooth something or other, a bagel/sandwich shop at the bottom of the stairs that connect Caesars to Bally's WWW.They are open by 5am. Also, one of my guilty pleasures is Bill's Gyro. they have diner like breakfasts, among other things, at reasonable prices. It's a little greasy but I believe they're open 24 hrs.

Nanook,

I feel your pain, LOL, but definitely check out 6ix at Bally's and do so BEFORE 8 when the crush starts or else grab a seat at the bar. Their omelettes are very good and while I am not a steak and eggs person, I did try the $7.77 special and it was tasty.

Johnny Rockets always puts a smile on my face but you need to be there when they open at 8.

I am an early morning person, too, and think it's a shame anyone has to go foraging for breakfast

In July when we went to VA City Buffet for breakfast 6x was closed with a sign to go to VA City buffet. 6x is not 24/7 anymore, but I really don't know the schedule.

I don't know about the breakfast, I am usually asleep until 1pm, but I can tell you that the lunch/dinner is good. I have never had a bad meal in VC

The VA City Breakfast buffet was exactly like Caesars buffet. Maybe a couple of $$ less., but using RFB/Comp didn't mean anything.

Trump Plaza has a Starbucks for carryout, but Sun morn by 9:30am, their stock of edibles was pretty low. I was on my bike so I went to the Starbucks at Trop which was fully stocked. Trop also has a boardwalk front carryout store, they have a 99cent cup of coffee with tables on the boardwalk for ppl watching.

For something else to hold you over til lunch, you can go to Philly Pretzel Co in Bally's on the boardwalk [opens at 8am] phillysoftpretzelfactory.com/locations-nj.ht… & get a Philly breakfast: hot from the oven philly pretzels 3/$1.50. Sit on a bench on the boardwalk and have breakfast at Park Place

I love Gerties for bagels. During the week you can get egg sandwiches. On weekends, only creamcheese, tuna, chicken salad, etc. I normally take back 2 for myself and save one for the next morning. Since the creamcheese is individually packed the bagel doesn't get soggy and since it is just baked it stays pretty good until the next morning.
