It was in the press of AC also. I was going to give my 2 cents. Once they stop giving me free rooms Im done. I can go to so many other casinos. Look at the hilton numbers come on gaming is done 44% but rooms are up 6% my math says that is not so good. I know HET has the pool and that is what they are banking on to make a killing. They better remember that kids will only go to the hot clubs and your club today is hot and when the next new thing opens your club is no longer hot. They should take into account how many regular gamblers they will lose and not get back when they cut the rooms. I do not think this is going to work they are trying to be like Vegas and they are not even close to that in terms of clubs resturants and other non gaming places. They can say we have the ocean and a beach whats left of it in front of Taja and Showboat but that only goes so far. So go ahead and cut my comps and I will say so long. Its a shame because we enjoy our time in AC
thinking it,and saying it in print are 2 things.
its no wonder there was no name attached to whoever said they are wanting to get away from day trippers who play and use their buffett comp. i think thats a horrible admission considering how much those day trippers drop everyday.
AS a business they must do whatever they think will work but I also can vote with my feet.
Lousy Video Poker, reduced comps and ever declining customer service has moved my play from 3/4 monthly trips (2-3 days each) to two or three Las Vegas trips yearly mixed with poker at Delaware Park. Its over $100 for me to drive to AC (tolls & gas only). Take away my free rooms and other comps and they can forget it.
My only hope is that the expansion of gamjbling in the mid-Atlantic area spurs some competition among the casinos and the gambler is the winner.
ill admit, that because i pretty much need to use het junkets to get there
ill still go to ac. but to be honest,i havent been there since july, and since ive already locked in diamond for this year i have no trips planned.
made 2 trips to vegas this year where i did feel like i was appreciated more as a player than i felt i was this summer in ac.
may be awhile befor i go back since we already booked another trip in march for vegas. im sure i will be back after that trip ,but ive recently started getting offers from harrahs cherokee............yeah i know its not the same but hey,i can drive there, earn my points so who knows maybe if i do choose to let my feet do the walking it might be there, only 2plus hours drive for us.
If I'm reading the article correctly, most of the rooms in the casino hotels are comped on any given (presumably not Friday ro Saturday) night? I'm finding that hard to believe.
I agree with Whalerfan 100%
If they ever stop giving my room comped, I will not make the 3.5 hour trip down there to AC. And I mean comped in advance. None of this we'll look at your play and comp you accordingly after stuff. I want the room comped before I drive all the way down there.
I am still able to book any day of the week or weekend comped, but no more "Premium" rooms are coming up totally comped anymore. That seems to be the first move in the wrong direction they made on me. So I learned not to book my room through my host anymore, because she can only book about 3-4 months in advance. I already booked my Feb. and May trips for next year because you never know when they tighten things up more. I am not worried about the type of room I book because my check in agent always takes care of me, even on the busiest of weekends. I also booked my two wek trip to Vegas for next year already.
And just to clarify for zzyzzx, right now the only night I cannot book is New Years Eve. I think that is shut off for everybody because that night is on an invite only.
But there are about 10 nights between now and next May that show up with a slight charge for a Luxury room. But that is it. The rest are totally comped and they best stay that way or Caesars will lose two of their favorite long time customers.
OK I feel better now..:-)

Bob. We are leaving Friday for 3 nights so we shall see if we are still RFB. Looking forward to getting away. We will see what happens next.
Good luck and have fun.
Hope you are still RFB. I haven't been for about a year now but they have still been picking up our Gormet non-LFB charges. We always go to Primavera at Caesars once a trip no matter if they pick it up or not.
