Atlantic City to Boston Bus Service

Hello everyone!

My bf and I will be staying in Trump Taj Mahal in August and were wondering whether there are any bus lines that go to Boston, MA from New Jersey? If so, which ones? We don't t want to go back to NYC and go from there.

Any suggestions are welcome.

Greyhound does, but you have to make at least one bus transfer.

You can also take the New JErsey Transit train to Philadelphia and transfer to Amtrak to Boston. The would probably be a more comfortable trip.

I second ambrva’s suggestion for the train as a better ride.

I don't know when your trip is, but if your travel date is at least 3 weeks away, the fare will be lower. So book asap. AMTRAK's seats are like a first class airline seat. It will be a downgrade to get on NJTransit's bench seats, but it is only $10 e/w

Would the train station to take the New Jersey Transit Train to PA be far from the casio area? Just trying to calculate the taxi fare to get there.

Thank you!

>>Would the train station to take the New Jersey Transit Train to PA be far from the casio area?<< If you are asking about AMTRAK, it goes to 30th St Stn in Philly. The NJTransit AC line also departs from 30th St Stn. It often runs from tracks 1&2, but not always. It will be posted on the board in the center of 30th St Stn and they will announce the departure on the PA also

If you are asking about getting from AC train stn to a casino. You wont need a taxi. Take a look at this stickie tripadvisor.com/Travel-g60795-c122798/Philad…

Absolutely ture, I had no idea about this:

Once you arrive at the Atlantic City Train terminal, there are free shuttles to all casinos.

Since we considering all options I have a couple of final questions (sorry for all the questions):

1. If we decide to fly from NJ to Boston from Newark - I understand the airport is in a different part of the state and it would cost a fortune to get a taxi from casino to airport. Is there any other relatively cheap way to get from Atlantic City casino to Newark airport? Train?

2. Is there a train (as opposed to Greyhond Bus) from NYC to Atlantic City?

The ACES train only runs on Fri~Sun. http://www.acestrain.com/ You CAN get from NYC to AC on three public transit trains using this sticky to get to Philly tripadvisor.com/Travel-g60795-c3501/Philadel… and the previous sticky from Philly to AC. I don't know if the savings is worth it

edit: From my travels, I do know plenty of travelers do take this public transit option
