Casino Parking

Hi all. We are coming to AC in April. I have always taken junkets and am surprised to learn how difficult it is to get there "on your own." I had no idea that for the most part, you have to fly to Philadelphia and find a way to AC from there. What is the general "rule" regarding parking for casino guests? Is it free or does it cost? Just trying to estimate the cost of renting a car in Philly. Thanks

Casino parking is usually very inexpensive ($3-$5/day), and often free if you have a player's card. You can sign up for one when you check in. Parking fees are transferrable as you go from place to place, so you only have to pay once every 24 hours no matter where you park (starts over at 6 am). Just be sure to get receipts as you leave each lot.

If possible, you could fly directly in AC Airport. It's only about 10 miles from the casinos and transportation is easily arranged. The route to AC from Philly is pretty simple, once you get on the AC Expressway it's a straight line and should take about an hour from door to door.

Hope you have a blast!

You'll find it varies from casino to casino. There is a $3 minimum mandatory fee that must be charged that goes to the state, not the casino. Anything above that is the casino's money.

Last weekend, the rate we saw at a few places was $10, discounted to $4 or $5 for hotel guests or those holding the casino's slot club cards.

Showboat currently shows "free parking" on their website, but I'm not sure how this is possible given the mandated fee.

Harrah's ,Sands and Showboat have free parking for cardholders . But at Sands and Showboat you have to have the card on the way in . ( The Casinos pay the fees) .

You have to get a receipt when you pay in order to get a receipt good for parking at ONE other casino . You can't get another receipt when you use a receipt to pay .Most Casinos charge $3 to $5 for parking WITH a card . A Harrah's card is good at Harrah's , Showboat,Caesar's and Bally's ( ALSO Claridge & Wild West)

PS If you are staying at a casino parking there is free . And I know Harrah's and Showboat will give a receipt for one other casino .

Not to sound like a real cheap skate, but a couple of times we've been going to the Borgota and we've done a fast in and out of the Harrahs garage next door to collect a receipt. Since parking at Harrahs is free for Total Rewards Card holders, we are able to park at Borgota for nothing.

Bumping this up for current information. Is this information still valid? I am staying at Harrah's and have a Total Rewards card.

I doubt this info is up to date as the post is 2+yrs old. I haven't parked at Harrah's since the summer and when I left it was late [well, actually early AM], but the parking booths were not manned and I did not have to pay. I believe the signs posted $5 for TR cardholders.
