Kind of weird question about The Reserve in Bally's

We ate at the Reserve restaurant the other night in Bally's and noticed something strange: at least 3 different people who worked there greeted patrons at their tables warmly and sat down with them and chatted and ate something with them (bread, an appetizer, etc) They also took phone calls at the table while eating.

Does anyone know who these workers were and/or why this is done? Seemed very strange to me.

Thanks

kellsmom - most likely the strange folks were casino hosts. They schmooze with gambler who play alot or often. They were probably paying for those folks dinners with comps so they ate a little to be social. The calls were most likely from other guests needing their attention.

Or the folks eating were there so often the staff knows them like family

Did you enjoy the place otherwise?

Thank you, that makes sense!

We did the $39 four course dinner special. It was WONDERFUL!! Every course was better than the next and the wine was perfect. Such a special dinner for my hubby and I to have.
