Need Help Planning Anniv. Trip

Hi,

Headed to AC mid April for 3 nights to celebrate anniv. Wondering if any of the casino hotels have indoor pools with a sundeck open if the weather happens to be as nice as it has been lately. I already booked Ceasars but it doesnt look like they would have anything open like that this time of year. We would like to stay on the boardwalk. Havent been down there in over 20 years so would appreciate any input. Also any fun bars midweek for the over 40 crowd??

Thanks,Sue

I like it, but it is certainly considered to be an inferior property to Ceasars, but Resorts pool has a retractable roof and an outdoor sundeck just outside it. If you stand up, you can look over the wall at the ocean and boardwalk. This wall you have to look over comes in handy for blocking ocean breezes when you're laying down [current ocean temp: 43°]. BUT I don't know if Resorts pool is open. It was recently closed for renovations. I suggest you call Resorts. That, and seek more opinions here about Resorts

Next door to CAesars is Ballys and they have an indoor pool and several hot tubs. I don't know if the sun deck will be open, but you can ask. I believe that you are allowed ($10 charge) to use the Ballys pool if you are staying at Caesars and they are connected via an indoor walk way.

>>I believe that you are allowed ($10 charge) to use the Ballys pool if you are staying at Caesars<< The $10 fee [per room, not per person] is only if you are a Ballys hotel guest. If you are a Caesars hotel guest, it's a $30 fee.

Hmmm, anyone know if The Chelsea's heated saltwater pool's sundeck is open in April? http://thechelsea-ac.com/saltwater_pool.php

Revel is supposed to have a year-round heated pool called the “InOut Pool”

At the Atlantic Club/ACH/former Hilton, there's an indoor pool adjacent to an outdoor sundeck that overlooks the ocean. I'm sure if it's nice enough, you'll be able to go outside. There's no bar or anything up there, but you can get big "shake & take" drinks at the Dizzy Dolphin and bring them in with you.

Since Resorts was mentioned...Resorts does have a pool with a retractable roof, however I'm not sure if they actually open it. Maybe someone else will have some insight on that. I will say that Resorts does not compare to Caesar's and some of the other "big name" casinos. We are long time Resorts patrons, but we really only continue to go because of all the comps we receive there. I wouldn't say it's one of the hotels I would choose for an anniversary trip unless you were getting a nice suite in the Rendevous Tower. It does have an indoor connection to Taj Mahal of the weather is bad. It also has two fine dining restaurants. The gaming floor is smaller than most of the other casinos. They only have one bar on the casino floor and there is Happy Hour from 2-7 p.m. M-F along with a singing bartender Tues-Fri. until 9 or 10 p.m. We enjoy Resorts and visit often, but like I said, it is not a hotel I usually recommend to others who seldom visit. Before Resorts, we always liked being down by Bally's and Caesar's. There are a lot more options that are in the vicinity.
