May I say something?

First off, Im saying this in a happy, positive tone,,,,,,,,,,,it is just a thought of mine...............

Everyone (including myself) always speculates about what is going to happen/what we heard when something new opens.........

Well here is my thought on Revel....

Its no mystery that revenue in a.c. is down, hotels are down, etc etc.

All of these hotels (that are not doing well) cater to the players, cater to the "whales", have smoking, have a players club, all of these things revel does not. Has it ever occurred to any of us that perhpas Revel may be trying a different approach and actually make some $$$??? Maybe they are catering to the crowd that wants to stay in beautiful hotel, with a phenomenal pool and doesnt want the smoke becuase that would mean theyd have to paint the walls every other year and clean and re-do the ac/heat/filtering units that costs alot of money, that they dont want to have a lounge where things are free free free and they lose money...........maybe they are trying a different approach............like a regular vacation spot approach. When travelers go to Florida or anywhere for that matter, what do we want? A nice, clean comfortable room, nice pool, nice beach, great service! Wel perhaps thats what The Revel is going to give us...........and the ability to gamble and perhaps walk way with some money is an added bonus!!!

Im not saying what will work or not work, but whats in ac now is not working, so we cant really say for sure what "IS BEST" for ac until we see what happens and get the quarterly reports from the hotel itself. I know alot of people may laugh at my post or criticize me - its only my opinion and I could be dead wrong............I just love atlantic city, its history, its special to me and I only want good things for it as Im assuming all of you who spend a good deal of time on this forum. Happy Friday everybody..............Im gona go try to rob the place now! :):):)

Rship, if the TSA was monitoring this forum, they would have fallen asleep days ago! BTW, your coupon posts are helpful to people travelling to AC -carry on! Doing what a DE is supposed to do-what a concept!

Lucky, have a great trip! Please post a report. We actually used to have those on this Forum!

Its about time someone with some positive thoughts!! Yes you are right AC has all the same type of things. Revel is going to break from the status quo and my hats are off to them for doing that. With casinos in PA, CT, NY(well not real ones but soon!), and all the other states that are opening casinos, the market has become too saturated and the people need a reason to go to your casino so why dont make it non-smoking, who cares about a players lounge! Have you seen the michellen star chefs and James beard award winning chefs that are opening at Revel? Please! This resort will transform AC into something much better than it is now!

"who cares about a players lounge! "

1.one of the largest threads in the history of this forum, discussed a players lounge policy change affecting only 4 casinos (since removed)

I just pointing out that what is not important to you , may be of interest to others

Acmama - your posts are like a breath of fresh air to the forum, or dare I say a "breath of fresh, clean non-smoking air"? j/k

As a former smoker who is now 5 months pregnant and will be visiting AC in 2 & 4 weeks, I very much look forward to the Revel's non smoking policy.

If you happen to rob them Lucky, please PM and let me know how you did it!

I regularly drive past 3 detroit casinos and cross the border to gamble in Windsor. It is smoke free and that makes a difference to me. That may be a deal breaker for some but a great deal for others.
