Is anyone else planing more trips to Atlantic City

I know I am the cost of air fair is making it more affordable to go to Atlantic City if your less than 3 to 4 hours away.

it costs on average $500 round trip to fly to the west coast from the NYC/PHilly markets and 15% more if you fly out Newark.

Also taking a hop to FLA or the midwestruns about $400 for a round trip ticket. I'm using $50for gas taking my car for the roughly 250 mile round trip to AC at least twice for a long weekend,. I just can't stay a Saturday night that throws the savings out the window. so now I start on a Wednesday or Thursday for 2 or 3 nights. Just can't take AC for more than 3 days there just is not enough LIVE decent entertainment to want to stay longer.

BTW the using get Sunday to Thursday rooms for free and about $200 for a Friday nuight due to my play level. Those casinos know that when I'm there a spend but never the numbers to get free SATURDAY nights.

I'm a six hour drive away, cost me $60 in tolls and $120 in gas round trip but I'm still getting my AC fix. Just got back wednesday. Next trip is July 1-4, then July 31 - August 2 for Donny & Marie and then closing out the summer on labor day September1 - 4. I always avoid the weekends in the summer because of the crowds.

I may not get to AC often but when I do, I prefer Caesars.

Stay thirsty my friends.

In the past year or so I've been going to AC much more. Amtrak to Philly from the DMV area (b/t $70 and $180 R/T depending) then NJ Transit to AC from Philly($20 R/T). I go midweek for a 2-3 days either free or discounted and I'm good.

I really wanted to go to Las Vegas and Laughlin this year, but when I started checking arifare, it would have been over !$1200 for my husband and I out of Newark. I just didnt want to spend that kind of money to get there, then our daughter got engaged so we decided to forego out Vegas trip and instead concentrate on AC.

We have 4 nights booked at Harrahs, Thursday to Sunday June 28 to July 1. Thursday, Friday and Sunday were comped. Saturday is costing $25.......I just couldnt pass it up. So even with their $13 a night fees, its only costing $77 for 4 nights.

We have Comedy club tickets for Thursday at Borgata,, Legends tickets for Friday at Ballys and Celtic Thunder booked for Sunday at Harrahs. Saturday night we are meetign up with daughter, her fiancee and future in laws in Sea Isle City......

Normally i would not stay in AC for 4 nights, but it seems to be working out that we will be kept busy.

We also hope to check out Revel, spend some time at THe Atlantic Club and use the Boardwalk a lot more than our usual one or two night trips!

I will be heading up to AC july 3-5. I drove last time I went about 130.00 in gas and I think about 30.00 in tolls coming from Baltimore. I might greyhound it this round so I can just relax.

I visit A.C. several times a month. But I am only a little over 1 hour drive away. I really like it most during tbe off season. So much less crowded.

Haven't been since March, and was looking to go in end June beginning of July. Not sure if that's going to work out or not. Got a vacation planned for first of September so if we don't get in July probably not till end of October.

I have pretty much discontinued my visits to the two CT casinos since they've cut so many benefits (about 1 1/2 hours away from me) and switched to AC on a once a month basis. It's 3 1/2 to 4 hours from my house and we always make it a one or two night stay. CT's loss is NJ's gain, as I've been on a losing streak since the beginning of the year:)

Definitely not planning MORE trips than usual! Less trips...one night instead of 2...less money! Those year-after-year losses have added up! I could've bought a couple of new cars at this point...

I am. When I have visitors from out of town I take them to AC. I used to go other places like Ocean City MD, but AC is much better so I go to AC instead.

I am. Just went Mothers day. Staying at Revel July 8th and then back down on the 24th at the Borgata. Works for me. 2 1/2 bus ride from NYC. You can't beat that. Sometimes I am on the train going to work, jump off the train at 42st. Go to Port Authority and hop on the bus. Oh yeah I have to call in at work while purchasing a ticket. LOL
