Pool at Harrah's BEFORE dark

We're looking to get away for a few days after Thanksgiving. I know the pool at Harrah's becomes a big night club in the evening. But is it ok for a couple a people who DO NOT like the club scene during the day?

I would check the events calendar to check if any events at the pool when you are there - for example this weekend the pool is having an end of summer party so I believe its closed Sunday.

In general, the pool is awesome - it is open I believe 7a on weekdays and 8 on Sundays - but double check after summer as hours may change. You need your room slip to check in and ID if look under 30.

You get towels as you enter, they are stingy so ask for what you need if you need more - I like 3 one for me , one for top of lounger and one for bottom.

They have loungers and some chairs and tables. Food and drink are available so they will NOT allow you to bring any in.

Chairs go fast - many drop towels and leave and come back. If you cannot find a chair ask the desk to help - they will remove towels and free up chairs if you insist. Some people will throw your stuff off if the chair is idle too long. I found my magazine and flipflops in a plantar when I came back from the sundeck and my chair occupied lol.

There are hot tubs and a large climate controlled pool under a dome - its quite nice. They also have lockers and showers and rest rooms. Just be careful floors get slick.

Towers nearest the pool are Waterfront - floors above 25 or 26 (near temptations); waterfront and bayview (near buffet). If you are marina (near bell captain) or harbor - the furthest (near mccormicks) you have walk through the casino which can be lengthy.

If anyone is under 21, not allowed in pool. There is a ymca like pool in harbour tower

Have fun

If pool event, they may close earlier so check on the day. Also check the website prior to your trip - they do close for renovations, cleaning but I think thats in December

I haven't stayed at Harrahs in over a year, and the last time I had the buffet there 2 weeks ago I noticed a lot of changes to the pool area. What have they done to it? It looks like they took out several hot tubs and put in more bars and cabanas. Also, have they fixed up those lockers in the men's changing room? I remember half of the lockers were broken.

The main Harrahs pool is pretty serene during the day. It's not like a Vegas pool party (which would be pretty sweet in my opinion haha). It's mostly people just sunbathing and lounging around in the pool. The bar is open and you can order food or drinks from there (it's not swim-up though so you have to get out and walk there). They also have happy hour there from 4-6 I think every day.
