Trip Report Sep1st-Revel

Came in from Borgata a day early before actual reserved stay at Revel

1) waited 25 minutes for droping off car at Valet

2) waited 30 minutes at Central Restaurant to be seated

3) waited amongst 50 others for car pick-up (i was luck i was told since my car came after 15 m)

4) the "smoking area" in the front is quite an eye sore

5) the lobby for the hotel/check in is on the 11th floor so to get to room you'll from the ground up, escalator, elevator then elevator again to your floor. I heard that it can take a long walk to get to the room

6 ) Bathroom is a tough sell as they seem to run out of toilet papers. There are 3 on the casino floors but not large enough.

BUT

The food at Central was excellent

The staff was friendly

The slots in high limit was better than at Borgata (i saw $20k, 5k, 3k,3k, 5k, 16k being won on $100, $25 and $10 slots)

We ended up cancelling our stay anyway as we really did not want to stay overnight

Hope they get it together soon. It could be something good.

I've never understood the bathroom complaints. When I went, I found one pretty easily past Mussel Bar and the taco place, and it was HUGE and not at all full (this was on a busy weekend).

As for restaurants, at Borgata, you can wait upwards of one hour for the buffet. And the lines at Metropolitan, the Noodle Bar, and others can also try your patience.

I know how frustrating it is to wait for cars, restaurant seatings, etc. The only way it would really bother me if it was inefficient. Say, one valet for all those people, open tables with people waiting.

I guess it's a good thing that Revel is crowded and there are some waits. Sept. 1st was a a) Saturday and b) Labor Day weekend, I would expect to wait for almost everything which is why I try not to go on a holiday weekend.

Glad to hear of some winnings. My bankroll is never large enough for those high limit slots, but still nice to hear and you enjoyed the food at Central.

If you know where the main bathroom is, it is no problem.

However, if you do not know the location of that bathroom, it is a huge problem. Many people in the casino are unaware of the larger bathrooms. Heck I didn't even find the Taco truck on my first visit so left Revel for a Showboat bathroom after seeing the condition of the smaller bathroom.

I pull my van right down to the overheight parking and walk right in. Its off to the right, i don't like to wait! I would suggest anyone do that if they see a long line for valet. lol

Self park on the 11th floor and you can walk right in to the hotel lobby

No long waits for valet, no elevators, no escalators,

NO PROBLEMS

that's what I do. I can't imagine why anyone would wait for a valet; I see the same thing at Harrah's and Borgata

Just come back from Revel for Labor Day weekend.

Park on 11 floors goes directly to hotel lobby.

Check in wait for 15min, got 30 floor at 11:00 am.

Room is excellent.

Room service - great, order for 9:00 am, got 9:00 am.

Casino floor - love it.

Staff - more than friendly.

"Location of that bathroom" - read the sign.

Smoking - take a fresh air outside of casino.

All complains you can find in other casinos/Hotels.

My home casino is Harrah's, sometimes Taj, Caesars.

Revel will be my first choose from now.

This is absolutely great Hotel, a lot of waking and no buffet. Love it.

Do you want buffet take a right turn from Revel exit, walking distance to next buffet 3 min. STOP complain for BS. Do you like Borgata stay in Borgata, but please stop this complain nonsense.

11th floor parking is nice but i guess that means carrying your luggage with you? No valet no problem yes but i don't think that it was the resort experience Revel was aiming for (at those prices)

The valet parking situation is no worse at Revel then any of the other AC casinos, especially on a holiday weekend.

The self park option at Revel is a heck of a lot better then the others. At Revel you can park on the 11th floor and walk right in to the lobby and check-in desk.

At all the other casinos, your parking far from the check-in desk After parking in the casino garage, you have to drag your luggage to the elevators and down to the casino. You then have to go across the casino floor with your luggage to the check-in desk.

Revel did it right !
