Revel? Can they do anything right?

I have posted reviews and comments on the forum stating my feelings about their poor customer service.

I get an email from them stating special room offer for you as the subject. So I think that maybe they are finally offering the free room I should have gotten from my last stay and actually start considering giving them a 2nd chance,

The room was not free but it was one of their breakfast in bed packages that was discounted $100. As the wife and I are planning a trip in early Nov I still consider giving them a second chance based on the $100 discount and that my wife was not with me the last time I went.

I go online to book the room and after several attempts get the message discount not available with this card #. WHAT??? I have the email and my card in front of me to make sure I was not typing in either the card # or promo code incorrectly and the same message over and over. I give up.

I refuse to call them as we all know the horror stories associated with that.

i would suggest you call them.

as many people have posted, there are no longer any "horror stories" associated with calling the revel. they answer on the first or second ring and have knowledgeable, helpful people booking reservations and handling other requests.

why would you claim they have poor customer service if you haven't given them the chance to serve you, as a customer? if there's a problem, why don't you see if they can make it right?

If it's a really good deal and you would like to do it I would call them. If you're indifferent on it then I would just book some place else.

It could just be a glitch on the site. I know I have been having a time looking at their rates on my iPad. The arrow to move months doesn't show up.

Killermj13,Still MANY horror stories trying to call Revel.

I will claim and it is a FACT they have POOR customer service at the Revel.

Stay at the Borgata,You'll Enjoy A/C more on your visit!!!

one wonders how much experience one who only stays at the borgata might have with phoning the revel. the FACT is they often do have very poor customer service at the revel; i have said so many times. but delays or dropped calls or the need for "call backs" or any other "horror stories" related to phoning the revel doesn't mesh with the recent experiences of several posters, including me.

It could be a technical glitch as their database may not be in sync with offer code which they sent you.They should be able to override if you call them.If you already have some horrible experience with their customer service then leave it.

@UKstages - I claim they have bad customer service because I stayed there in August and experienced first hand.

I stated I wouldn't call them because in the process of booking that stay I experienced them not even answering there phones and offering a callback service. Totally unacceptable in a service industry in my opinion.

you need only look above at your prior post.

in any case, you should give them a call, if only to see if you're kept waiting and or you have some sort of other horrific experience. i just called them, to see if they would answer promptly. they did. they're waiting for you; give them a call.

It all depends on how much you enjoy their casino and other amenities there compared to other casino hotels in AC and how much better the deal they are offering is than other hotel casinos for the date(s) you want, whether to bother making the call.

Maybe their phone reservation system is functioning better because it's no longer flooded with people responding to offers, especially since some offers we received stated for online booking only.

I did not mention the specifics but anyone familiar with these boards would have read over and over how they didn't answer their phones in the summer. That is what I was referring to.
