Have you been there before?

Conventional wisdom here says to stay at any of the boardwalk casinos if it's your first trip.

I have stayed at The Tropicana. Showboat, and Bally's and liked them all.

If its not you first time then revel or borgota

When are you going to visit? Weekend? Weekdays? Winter? Spring? Do you gamble? For how long and what is your budget? Answer these few questions along with your, aprox. age and we will be better able to help. Atlantic City has something for all ages and budgets.

I agree with those that said Revel if on the boardwalk and Borgata if that doesn't matter. For steak/seafood in a casino my favorite is the Old Homestead at Borgata followed by the Palm at the Trop. Outside of casinos I'd recommend Docks Oyster House.

If your going on a weekend all rates in AC are high.

First time, stay on the boardwalk. Caesars is a great choice and features Mortons. Awesome steaks and seafood. Location can't be beat, dead center of the boardwalk. Revel is nice but with many issues. On the weekends, it attracts a bunch of young, drunken 20 something club goers. I'm in my 40's and hate being around that crowd. During the week, it's a ghost town. Borgata is a fantastic choice if you choose to stay off the boardwalk.

Check the resturaunt reviews on the left side of the page. On the right side is a cheap eats section.

Since you are going during the weekend I would avoid staying at Revel and Tropicana. They both draw a lot of 20 somethings that you may find bothersome.By all means visit those casinos, but when you are trying to sleep at night hallways and adjacent rooms can be loud.

As RanMan07 has written Cesaers would be a nice option.

You haven't stated a budget. If you wish to keep costs down consider the Atlantic Club. It draws an older crowd. It is at one end of the boardwalk with Revel about 2 miles away at the other end.

Wear comfortable shoes! If the weather is nice you could do a little exploring in the casinos. Stay in the touristy areas. Atlantic City is safe so long as you don't wonder away from the crowds.

Look here for good room deals, check for specials.

Revel will be very quiet, Caesars will be slow but a least there will be more people there giving it a better casino atmosphere. Ask for a room in the Ocean Tower or the Centurion Tower. Mention your anniversary when you check in, they may up-grade you to a better room.
