Great ballys deal?

livingsocial.com/deals/…

How is the Dennis luxury? Never been in there? You think I can get a better deal else where? Btw I'm going on April 14-15 for my birthday.

Have you tried checking for other offers anywhere else? We used to stay in the Dennis Tower when we got comps at Bally's...haven't stayed there in over two years though. Never had a problem...room was just average...ours always seemed on the small side...not sure if the rooms are all the same. Bally's does not get a whole lot of positive attention lately. Since you are booking a Sunday and Monday...you may be able to find decent deals at some of the nicer properties in AC.

I just looked at the Total Rewards website and entered your dates without a players card #. There seems to be a sale going on. They don't include food or drink offers, just the room rates. It's worth looking into.

Although I play almost exclusively at Caesars Entertainment casinos in Atlantic City (that group includes Bally's), I avoid staying at Bally's, even for free. I've read too many complaints on this forum about some of the rooms and the front desk's practice of putting people in the tower with the lowest room categories regardless of the room type the guests booked. Here's a thread from yesterday that talks about that:

tripadvisor.com/ShowTopic-g29750-i78-k608201…

In addition to the room issue, on my last few trips to AC, I've thought that the public areas of Bally's have become neglected and depressing.

For a Sunday-Tuesday stay in April, you should be able to find good prices at nicer properties. I don't think this package is a "great deal," and I wouldn't buy it.

First let me say welcome to the board. Ballys has become the worst property in AC. They are famous for not giving people the rooms they reserved. Take a look at the reviews on TA, they speak for themselves. The deal really isn't that great. Reality, if the room was free, I still wouldn't stay at Ballys. CET should be ashamed for letting this property become the dump that it is. This is also one time that I totally agree with moneywho.

I was in Ballys Friday. It must have been 90 degrees! How comfortable can you get when you're sweating? The whole experience was a disaster. I will never return.

You will probably get decent rates (or close in price to Bally's) at other properties, such as The Atlantic Club or The Tropicana, without the food credit...but in the long run you will be much happier! You will probably get a room in the Claridge Tower for this promotion, no matter what it says, especially since it is through a third party (living social) which will get a commission on the rate/package. Spend a few dollars more, and avoid Bally's! Good Luck & Enjoy your trip!

As the others have said- stay away from Bally's. The root of many of their problems comes from the Claridge Tower and for some strange reason that is what they try shoving their guests in no matter what they've booked and no matter what the availability in other towers is (they begin their lies as soon as you arrive- "The only rooms available are in the Claridge Tower") It's a bizarre practice and really goes against logic.

For the 14th/15th you can get just as good, if not better rates elsewhere. The measly $30 in drinks and $15 in food does not make it worth it.

I wouldn't put Ballys and Great in the same sentence. I would avoid the place just not worth it as everyone else had said.
