Help with Bally's room reservation

What's the difference between Dennis Deluxe and Dennis Luxury rooms? From the tiny photo on the website, the Deluxe actually looks nicer but who can tell. The price difference for my stay would only be a total of $10 so I'm happy to go for Luxury if it matters.

What are the chances I'll get what I book? I know Bally's has a history of ignoring what you actually booked.

To tell you the honest truth, I am still trying to figure out the difference between the two.

I can tell you this. Sometimes if you book the Dennis Deluxe, Ballys@registration will attempt to claim that there are no more available rooms (during the day you check-in) in the Dennis Tower. They will then try to stick you in the Claridge Tower in a Ruby or the old rooms. Yet if a book a Dennis Luxury, I have never had the old switcheroo problem.

If you're paying for your room out of pocket, be sure to print out a copy of your reservation and take it with you. If they try and stick you in the Claridge, DO NOT accept it.

"Ballys has a history of ignoring what you actually booked". Well at least you're aware of this going in. No secret on how I and many others feel about Ballys, I always advise everyone to AVOID Ballys all together. Do yourself a favor and read the last 50 reviews on Ballys. There are better choices available on the Boardwalk.

As Ran said, there are better choices available on the boardwalk. As a matter of fact I saw a cardboard box right by boardwalk hall that look just as inviting, if not more so than the Claridge ;)

I believe the luxury rooms are probably bigger, but truth be told I doubt they distinguish between the two when they check you in. They figure if you're in the Dennis then you won't know if it's luxury or just deluxe.

You will most likely be told, even with the paid reservation, that your room will be in the Claridge. Don't fall for it and demand what you booked.

Make me the 3rd to recommend another place to stay. For whatever reason they have allowed Bally's to take a nosedive over the last few years.

And they seem rather fond of pulling the ole bait and switch upon arival.

For what it's worth I stayed in the Dennis a few years ago. I had a very nice room with an ocean view. The casino is old and probably in the worse shape of any casino in A.C.

>>The price difference for my stay would only be a total of $10... ..What are the chances I'll get what I book<< From what you've posted Disneysteve, it soulds like you are paying. So be sure to print out your reservation, if you don't get what you booked, gently remind the person at checkin that X is what I paid for, and I deserve X. And I'm not sure when you've visiting AC, but if it's soon, be sure to walk down to Boardwalk Hall to watch Winter Sweet. It's sweet. atlanticcitynj.com/visitors/…lightshow.aspx Especially if you bring your daughter with you

Thanks for the replies, as negative as they all are. I'll have to see how much more Caesar's would cost. Bally's is more convenient since I'm attending a conference there and honestly, I'm pretty easy to please, but if I can switch over for not a big price difference, I will. I don't want to stay anywhere else because of the conference.

Since I haven't stayed at Ballys in quite some time. I have a question to the Ballys experts.

I know the hotel can't possibly be busy enough to have filled the other towers so why are they making people only stay at the Claridge? My friend was there in the dead of winter midweek and they said they were sold out and he needed to stay at the Claridge. He said there was maybe 25 people in the casino that night.

What gives?

LolFoq- I have NO idea! Even the weekend before NYE the lights were out all over the place and it was the same excuse. It makes absolutely zero sense. None. Nada. Zip. Zilch!

I think either there is something seriously wrong at Bally's with either the structure or mechanics, or perhaps the GM is running it into the ground on purpose so another group has the potential to buy it on the cheap.
