AC rail line mobile ticket app

The AC rail line is now accepting mobile tickets you purchase with your iPhone or droid. The app mytix allows you to avoid the ticket machines or lines.

Thanks for posting. I have signed up. Now I am wondering if I can perform another random act of kindness for some other rider without time to buy tickets at the kiosk & save them $5 a head. Yeah, I haven't explored the app too much yet, and I still have a paper ticket in my wallet. If AERules is still reading, I think he may know if I'm able. AERules, if you know, please post

OK, I've been exploring the app. And yes I can. I can display up to 5 tickets at one time. Yay!

I believe you can. My dad has told me stories about some guys who won't let other people sell or give tix to people who didn't have tix. I think you should be fine.

Thanks for the info AERules. And perhaps the conductor was being nice on Thanksgiving, as it was Thanksgiving night. tripadvisor.com/…54368736 I do admit, if the conductor had told me I could not sell this family the tickets, I would've argued with her, informing her I was merely paying it forward [or is it now backwards?] for a kindness performed for me on the ACline on the way to Cherry Hill stop several years ago

Why should they care who pays as long as they get their money.

Nice gesture Rship, paying for someone's ride.

I'm not saying all conductors. Just some. I think most conductors don't care.

Weeeeell. I didn't give this family seated in front of me on the ACline tickets. They were going to have to pay the extra $5 conductors fee because they hadn't bought their tickets from the kiosk. I sold them 2 tickets at face value, saving them $10.

The Mom later told me they were fearing they'd miss the train if they'd paused & purchased from the kiosk.

So, it was merely me eavesdropping that saved them $10

Just if you do it with the app make sure your bank is not super sensitive with fraud actions. I can't use my debit card at 2 different wawas in a 3 hour span.
