Little known promotion on NYE .

If you take your Plantium or better card from another casino to either Hilton or resorts on NYE , you can get a scratch off game good for a MINIMUM of $50 cash . Possibly a lot more !

allure45 - I'm guessing this is only for folks who don't already have a Hilton/Resorts players card? I will be there for NYE, and I do have Platinum from Caesar's - do you think I'll get a scratch-off?

I think it's OK if you already have a card . They just want to get you back in there to see the improvements . I was thinking they might give a card upgrade also . ( Wishful thinking ?) . I'm going over to Resorts around 8PM to check it out on NYE .

I found this on Atlantic City Weekly:

those players who are staying at any Atlantic City casino hotel from Dec. 28 through Dec. 31 can visit the Hilton and its sister property Resorts and receive $50 in slot cash, with a chance to win up to $10,000. Prizes valued at $1,000 or greater will be awarded in cash. To participate, present a hotel registration card from an Atlantic City casino hotel dated December 28, 29, 30 or 31, visit the casino promotions center and sign up for a Resorts Destination Casino Club Card. Participants must be at least 21 years of age to participate. This promotion is valid for one time only and is not valid with any other offer.

Sounds like if you don't have a platinum card you can still get the $50 if you are staying at any casino hotel from the 28th to the 31st.

Is the "Resorts Destination Card" different from my regular Resorts card? Is this somehow tied in with the time share they are always pushing at the boardwalk entrance?

Can't hurt to check it out anyway! Thanks for the tip!

I think the "destination " card is the same as a regular card . I think it is the promo version for the shuttle service .

I asked at the Promotions Center how this worked. I showed them my Diamond Card from Caesar's, and they said I was eligible to receive an Ultra or Elite Destination Club card. This gets you access to special lines and other upgraded services throughout the property, including the brand new, luxe Chairman's Club with it's premium bar. They were also giving out scratch-offs that were worth at least $50. Then, I said "what if you already have an Ultra card?". Alas, I was not eligible for this promo, it was only for new customers.

Also, on the 31st, they charged my account $20 comp dollars for two of us to enter the Chairman's Club. I still think it's worth it, but the Borgata is the only other VIP club I know of who ever charged their premium players. I hope this is not a trend, since the new Diamond Club at Caesar's is really nice and as far as I know, still free.

The Hilton was pretty packed on NY Eve, and there was a lot of confusion stemming from the fact they were overbooked by 75 rooms. They told one woman her reservation had been cancelled and insisted she had personally confirmed it via telephone. Well, that was news to her! She was fit to be tied when she stormed out of there. Another woman was informed they did not have a room for her, but that she could stay at the Days Inn near the Trop. She was not at all happy with this arrangement. Needless to say, these episodes caused the check-in lines to move very, very slowly! Fortunately we had no problems with our room, but it did take about 45 minutes to check in, and that was on the Ultra/Elite line. Aside from this, everyone seemed to be having a good time, and the slots in the Reef area were paying like crazy (only, not so much to me!).

Cheers,
