Holiday without kids

Hi,

Booked flights for the end of feb but not hotel yet. As we are not taking any kids with us I wondered if anybody could suggest a hotel which doesn't have kids clubs etc. I know I won't find a completely kid free hotel and honestly I am not a grouch but it would be nice to have an adult holiday for a change.

Hi househusband,

We have gone at the end of Feb for 3 years to Hilton Sharks bay hotel and kids have never been a problem.

I know exactly what you mean - we've had 2 ankle biters ourselves and now they are grown up all you want is a bit of peace and quiet!

There is a kiddies pool but have never seen many there at that time of year.

Getting off the subject- who have you booked your flight with and which airport. Did you get a good price as I am looking to book myself for next Feb and can't make my mind up if it will be cheaper to book as a package. Who knows we might see you there if you dicide on that hotel!!

Blimey this is a touchy subject, i was only saying that as i went away without my children and found the Hilton was ideal as not many children about.

Fail to prepare - prepare to fail :-)

I really like that - I'm gonna steal that and say I thought of it, I'm impressed!!

Just to say that I've booked a holiday for October this year and only just found out that of the 5 hotels we have booked 3 of them are 'no kids under 12' - and I honestly never knew!! Truly Guv'na!

Hi Madmol

We booked our flights through thomas cook direct online and surprisingly they were as cheap as anybody else. But the one big advantage they had was a saturday to saturday flight.

That one is from birmingham.

Just keep your fingers crossed that TC don't change or even cancel your flights as they seem to be doing it quite a bit lately!!

Hi Househusband,

I totally understand your wish to have a peaceful holiday!

Check out the Hilton Fayrouz.

Although it is in Naama Bay, it is very peaceful, lovely little bungalows right next to the large sandy beach, great location, good snorkeling, good food & lovely staff.

Click on my profile to read my review of the Fayrouz. I couldn't fault it & would go back like a shot.

Try the Hilton website or travel republic for good deals. It might not be the cheapest hotel, but it is worth every penny!

MM x
